Someone has to Say it … Christians Who Voted for Obama Voted Against the Word of God

President-Elect Obama says he is a “Christian” yet, he supports abortion–all abortion! He says women have a right to kill their own children if they choose to do so. But GOD says that is a lie!

GOD says children are a gift. Psalm 127:3, says: Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is His reward. In Jeremiah 1:5, GOD says “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou came forth out of the womb I sanctified thee…”

Psalm 139:13-16 - For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made… my substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret… Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written…

Regarding abortionists and those who kill unborn children, Exodus 21:22-25 states: If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished… and goes on to say: And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

Here’s what God also says if anyone kills a fatherless child. Exodus 22:22-24 – If thou afflict them in any wise and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; and my wrath shall wax hot…

So what god does Obama worship?

What kind of Christian would openly and purposely go against the Bible, the word of God? Maybe, one who is not really a Christian at all.

II Corinthians 11:13 says: For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And for no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

I truly believe that we as Christians missed the mark on upholding God’s word when it came to voting for Barack Obama. I could not believe the feedback I got when I asked why they were voting for this man, I will continue to pray that we vote our Godly values and not appearances!!!

The fact that 97% of African-Americans voted for President Obama shows that there are three cancers plaguing our community concerning abortion: Ignorance, Apathy, and Perversion. I love my people and I understand the historic implications of electing the first African American president. I also understand that there were many policies of the previous administration and of republican party that were not godly or bible centered as well. So I will pray for this president as I have all the others. In this season we must prioritize the issue of life for the unborn, and we must continue to spread the message and educate the people so that they will begin to HATE abortion. Only when the hearts of the people change will the laws and policies follow.

It is evident that so-called “christians” rather worship the creature than worship the creator who is blessed forever. (Romans 1) Not only does Obama sanction child murder, but sodomy as well. Both are abominations before God. Last week Bush, who also claimed to be a “christian” denied the literal interpretation of Scripture on Cynthia McFadden’s program. Surely, the great “falling away” is upon us. May God have mercy on us all.
We must pray for a spiritual awakening in America or else we are doomed. The economy is nothing more than God’s judgment on us.

I submitted a post a couple of weeks ago. I don’t see it here. I’ll try again. I agree with you that abortion is against the will of God. Voting for Barack Obama, however, was NOT. In the U.S., no political party’s position on ALL the issues was/is obedient to the will of God! What IS against the will of God is for Christians to cast a vote without considering the ENTIRETY of issues at stake. It is just as wrong to kill someone by throwing them out of a hospital because they can’t pay as it is to kill them by abortion. Using the logic in this article, a vote for John McCain and the Republican Party would have been a vote for THAT form of murder! If your goal is truly to stop abortions, the likelihood that you’ll have any success with this approach is nil. As an organization that is both Black and Christian (I’m assuming), perhaps a better approach would be to disagree with President Obama on his position on abortion, but with a spirit of love (another commandment from our Lord and Saviour). Please consider working WITH him on other ways to REDUCE THE NUMBER OF ABORTIONS. He has more than enough people who hate him because he IS Black, and who use abortion and other issues as a smokescreen to hide that hatred. We don’t need Black groups being the “House Negro” for them.

Hello Manette:

As Christians it is our duty in CHRIST to protect our children–”Suffer little children and forbid not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14. Children–”gifts” from GOD–it is HIS will that I care about.

Who cares what party any of us belong to? (I never said that you or anyone else should cast a vote for McCain, either).

My goal is to honor and serve my LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST–that’s all. My GOD-given mission is to do all that I can (as GOD leads) to stand against the evil practice of abortion. We as black people must see abortion for what it really is. As long as I walk in the path GOD leads–my approach will never be nil. The proof of that Manette–is that you are writing to me. I am also hearing from so many others who are realizing that we don’t have to kill our beautiful black babies to have good lives. We have been fooled into thinking our black babies are worthless–but they are more precious than gold! They are a splendid “gift” from GOD–a “reward”, according to the Bible. More and more African Americans are finally realizing that fact! PRAISE GOD!!!

Finally, I have NO interest in just reducing the number of abortions–abortion kills a child made in the likeness of GOD! Therefore we must stand firmly against ALL abortions. Obama is merely a man–unfortunately he is also an evil man who believes that even if a baby survives an abortion he or she should be killed anyway. Survivors of abortion are usually strangled, stabbed or suffocated to death and then thrown in trash bags. Little Shanice Osborn in Hileah, Florida suffered a brutal and gruesome death. Her mother was horrified when she saw how her little daughter was murdered–after she was born alive. As Christians we must not align ourselves with the evil of abortion or anyone who supports it.

I do pray for the President to have a “Paul” conversion though. I pray that GOD will melt the frozen core he has for a heart. As far as the “House Negro” comment–Manette, really? That term is so very old and ridiculous that it doesn’t really deserve my attention.

I serve GOD, not man–bottom line. Abortion is the greatest civil rights issue of our time! Please, join us in prayer for our president, our country and most importantly–for the millions of babies killed by abortion. Let’s come together in prayer to END the killing…not just reduce it.

I hope we will be able to meet one day–thank you for writing!

Thanks for responding, Day. I hear you and I aplaud your passion on the issue of abortion. I, too, want to see abortion become illegal in every state in this country. The reality is, however, that the vast majority of citizens in this country DO want to abortion to be legal. What does that tell us? That the ONLY way this will change is if the hearts of citizens of this country change. That will take us Christians showing alot more of the LOVE of God. I just don’t hear that in your language at all. Calling President Obama evil, for example. How do you know that? What gives you the authority to declare that about him? And that you would rather have 100, 100, 1million more children die in abortion in 2009, 2010 because you want it stopped “your way” or no way at all sounds more like you serve YOU than either God or man. Don’t get me wrong - showing God’s love does not mean not expressing or fighting for what you believe in. But just like Jesus did with the woman caught in adultery, the woman at the well, and many others, He did, in fact, “align Himself ” with them in order to 1st help them and 2nd, to tell them to sin no more.

DAY GARDNER ANSWERS: Jesus did not align himself with sinners–HE is OUR SAVIOR who spoke with authority and truth strongly denouncing sin. Even though HE may have looked like man — HE was in fact GOD made in the flesh and came not to “ALIGN” himself with our sin but to SAVE US FROM IT.

By the way…anyone who believes it should be okay to savagely abort a true “gift” from GOD — an innocent child even and especially if the child survives the atrocious ordeal — is indeed evil.

With regard to voting — I repeat… “Christians who voted for Obama voted AGAINST the Word of God” There are those who want to rearrange scripture to uphold their sin–but, fact is fact. I only repeated scripture.

“I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live, loving The Lord your God, obeying His voice, and cleaving to Him; for that means life to you and length of days, that you may dwell in the land which The Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.” (Deuteronomy 30:1-20 RSV)

In the end, all that really matters is what GOD’s word says and HE says to “CHOOSE LIFE!” God’s word is the bottom line.

Day, regarding your statement about Jesus not aligning Himself with sinners, you’re wrong. Jesus did not align Himself with SIN, but he absolutely aligned Himself with sinners - for it is SINNERS He came to save! And that, my dear, is ALL of us!!
I refer you to Matthew 9:10-13: 10 Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and “sinners” came and ate with him and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and ‘sinners’?” 12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’a For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

My point is this. God did not say do not vote for Obama. He DID say participate in your government - vote. Again, neither presidential candidate’s positions on issues were 100% in alignment with God’s law. Using your logic, Christians shouldn’t have voted at all, because a vote for either candidate would have been a vote “against the Word of God”, as you put it.

DAY GARDNER ANSWERS:

First of all, ”align” means to support, ally or to stand with…JESUS never supported sin or sinner. On the contrary, he stood against sin and constantly afirmed that sinners should turn from their sin to align “WITH HIM”–”to follow HIM”–not the other way around.

It’s true that Christians must always question their vote–or not vote at all. I believe it would be best to not vote at all rather than risk voting for a devil. We need to make sure that whoever we decide to back aligns him or herself with the word of GOD. Look at those who shouted loudly for Barrabus over JESUS.

As Christians, we must acknowledge that if a candidate stands for things that GOD truly opposes–then he or she is NOT worthy of our vote! Obama clearly and unappoligetically supports abortion–even the blatant and brutal killing of children who survive abortion! These children are suffocated, stabbed and strangled to death.

It seems to me that everyone wants to be with the popular guy or on the winning side. Many saw Obama as the winner and therefore jumped immediately on his wagon EVEN KNOWING that he supports infanticide and abortion.

As Christians we MUST decide to always be on GOD’s side–and realize that GOD’s side is not popular with “wordly” views.

By the way, witnessing to sinners about salvation is not being in alignment with them.   We as Christians are suppose to witness to those who do not know JESUS. We learned that from HIM!!! But, at no time are we to pretend that the killing of children or any other sin is okay, because in GOD’s eyes, it’s not!

JESUS made it very clear that HE is the only way to GOD and Heaven. While, it’s true that we are all sinners, Bible tells us that we are to turn from our sin–ask to be forgiven and washed clean by the blood of the Lamb and then “sin no more.”

GOD loves us all as imperfect as we are, but clearly HE wants us to transform to HIS WAY so that we can be with HIM forever. It is HIS way–or NO WAY! There’s no getting around that fact–but who would want to?

I am retired law enforcement, Imperial County Sheriff’s office in California. My wife and I live in Greensboro, NC now.

My wife and I are White, but we live in a neighborhood which is about 80 percent Black. We were very dear friends with everyone, UNTIL the last Presidential Election. Our Black neighbors, for the most part, became very UNFRIENDLY. It’s so sad.

Fortunally, the children still come over to our home and we treat them all just like family members, which they truly are - the Family of God.

My wife and I believe there is only ONE RACE: The Human Race.
